May 12 & 13 Senate Hearings on Bill S-13 by the Senate Social Affairs, Science and Technology Committee.
May 14 Bill S-13 reported out of the Senate Social Affairs Committee to the Senate.
June 3 The Honourable Allan Rock, Minister of Health introduces an amendment (C-42) to the Tobacco Act. A transitional ban will end all tobacco sponsorships after five years.
June 9 Third reading of Bill S-13 begins with an amendment by co-sponsor Senator Nolin and Senator Kenny to remove the sections on transitional funding for arts and sports groups from the bill.
June 10 Bill S-13 passes the Senate!
June 11 Bill S-13 on the House of Commons Order Paper for First Reading.
